Auto forward mail with copy in current mailbox

Post by Theet »

It is possible to auto forwarding mail and leave a copy in your mailbox.

To do:

Important to know:
Because Synology is Linux based you have to make users without capital letters, otherwise it won't work.

1) go to your Synology File Station homes folder
2) open the specific user folder where the mail has to be auto forwarded with copy in the users mailbox, you will see the .Maildir folder.
3) make a file .forward in the user folder (not in the .Maildir folder)
4) insert the following code (example):

Code: Select all

\[user]
[user]@[domain name].com
5) send a testmail to the user which mail has to be forwarded. The mail will still be available in de users mailbox and auto forward to another mailaddress.
